At UNITH2B , we are the general designers for a major urban regeneration project commissioned by the Reșița Municipality. The core vision of this initiative is to integrate the marginalized Mociur community with the city’s Centru and Govândari neighborhoods. By clearing a highly degraded site along the Bârzava river , we are paving the way for a newly designed Multifunctional Center. This dynamic facility is meant to foster social cohesion, offering inclusive spaces for socio-cultural events, workshops, and a variety of sports activities tailored for all age groups and abilities.
Beyond the architecture of the main building, our design approach revitalizes the surrounding public space to create a cohesive urban leisure area. The exterior landscaping introduces a new pedestrian square, dedicated parking, and expansive green spaces. To ensure the center is deeply woven into the local urban fabric, the project also incorporates the complete rehabilitation of the adjacent G.A. Petculescu street, upgrading it for safe and comfortable access. Through this seamless blend of architecture, landscaping, and infrastructure development, we aim to transform an abandoned, residual area into a vibrant and accessible destination for the entire community.
